Dr. Kelly M. Costner is a Co-Principal Investigator for NExT LEVEL and SC PALMETTO, both of which are US Department of Education grant projects focused on helping educators further their skills in working with Multilingual Learners. He also served as Co-Principal Investigator for the Winthrop Initiative for STEM Educators (WISE). Formerly, he was the Program Director for Middle Level Education, and served as Winthrop Faculty in Residence (WFIR) at South Middle School in Lancaster, Sugar Creek Elementary School in Fort Mill, and Sullivan Middle School in Rock Hill. He began his career in education in 1990 as a high school teacher of mathematics and French.
