I began my teaching career as an elementary classroom teacher, but my love of the library soon drew me to ECU to get my MLS and become a media coordinator. In the library, I used technology and exploration to instill in my students a love of reading and even more -- a love of learning. I used their curiosity to try new things, develop interests in unexpected places, and gain confidence in themselves and their capabilities. Now I work as an Educational Technology Specialist for the District, still working with media coordinators, but also with our Instructional Technology Facilitators, as well as our Blended Learning Facilitators as we work to instill a lifelong love of learning in every student, every day.
