Chris Long is an instructional leader who is passionate about using technology to create collective and innovative environments to improve teaching and learning. With 18 years of high school physics teaching experience, Chris thrives when he is helping students and educators to ask questions and experiment.

This past year, Chris designed and taught Advanced Instructional Strategies in the Virtual Classroom for UCI. This is a Massive Open Online Course that over 11,000 educators from over 140 different countries have taken. His experiences gained through interacting and collaborating with such a large and diverse group of peers has enabled Chris to develop a global professional learning network and bring novel ideas and skills to the work he does supporting over 16,000 students and 600 teachers in his district.

Chris is honored to be a Google Certified Innovator, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer, Leading Edge Online and Blended Teacher and a Canvas Coach. He is also an active member of CUE and serves on the executive board of OC-CUE as the Vice President of Business Relations.
